Ethan Davis is a Global Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) with over twenty years of experience fueling company success, leveraging human capital. He leads human resources through a global lens, supporting business growth and financial results by reshaping the future of HR through transformation of the function, impact, and culture of HR, aligned with the business strategy. He serves as a guiding force for HR design, scalability, strategic global alignment, and organizational change.
Mr. Davis is the CHRO at MCI, a global provider of business processing outsourcing and customer experience services. He joined MCI in 2003 as the second employee and spent his first eleven years rotating through marketing, IT, analytics, operations, and customer experience, building his expertise across business functions for which he would later drive HR strategies. His progressive HR career began in 2013 and he has since, advanced through roles of increasing responsibility.
Focused on maximizing revenue and profit growth by aligning business and HR strategies, he has contributed to enterprise revenue growth of up to 114% per year while shrinking long-term labor-to-revenue ratios. He also enabled a double-digit sustainable gross margin increase through management development strategies and a realignment of HR practices with the business strategy. New practices have included a gross margin model, use of a new compensation structure, capitalization on new remote work-at-home markets, blended wage flexibility across markets and brands, and centralized support functions.
During the company’s rapid growth over the years, Mr. Davis spearheaded the transformation of HR for scale, underpinning a hyper-rapid expansion of the employee base from 30 to more than 10,000 people in four countries. Strategic initiatives have ranged from establishing a global shared services department, redesigning pay models and building an enterprise employee recognition platform to enabling HR analytics and intelligence companywide to drive enhanced HR decisions.
Mr. Davis has additionally been critical in enhancing business outcomes by guiding major transitions as the company evolved playing a leading role in four company acquisitions, leveraged to create business value, serving as a key figure in acquisition due diligence, decision-making, and integration.
In the operational realm, he minimized business risk by heading the strategy to move the global workforce to virtual work through the COVID pandemic. In addition, he has tackled the challenges of changing labor market dynamics and leveraged them to broaden the skills base, serving as a proactive change catalyst.
In tandem, through his visionary leadership, he has consistently powered greater diversity, inclusiveness, employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention across country boundaries and cultures worldwide.
Mr. Davis is a member of the Board of Directors for the EastWest BPO, Inc. and a Coach with the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).
